Dealing with cancer is something unexpected that can dramatically change someone’s life. Now imagine getting this disease knowing something simple could have been done to prevent it from happening. One woman’s frustrating and devastating story brought light to a lesser-known issue in houses across Texas and the United States. After this piece aired, we heard from many people who started testing for radon in their own houses and asking their state representatives why more wasn’t being done to protect their health.
