Illegal gambling laws were not being enforced in East Texas, according to some experts. We dug into what the laws really governed and pressed law enforcement officials to filter the gray area many establishments were using to allow illegal gambling.

We even found people with law enforcement ties attempting to run gaming rooms.

Our in-depth coverage (which actually began in 2016), led to local officials cracking down on illegal gaming. We were on scene shooting exclusive video of the raids as they happened around Tyler. We continue to keep a close eye on these businesses which skirt the law and bring unwanted problems with them to the area.
