“Lack of High School Injury Reports Documented in East Texas”

December 02, 2015

While I previously looked into the lack of injury reports documented at the state level by the UIL, I decided to see if East Texas also failed to consistently report injuries. I discovered East Texas was even worse. Not only did this make many parents concerned, two different East Texas superintendents contacted the UIL, confused why their schools injuries weren’t being reported as they both assumed was happening. This investigative piece is a part of an ongoing conversation that could potentially improve the way UIL handles high school injuries.
