Burl Osborne, who passed away in 2012, was not only a legendary journalist, but a champion of diversity in the newsroom, freedom of the press, and a great mentor to young journalists. In that spirit, we are deeply grateful to his family for their generous contributions to the Headliners Foundation in his honor.
To commemorate the release of his biography, the Headliners Foundation is co-presenting an event with the Headliners Club on Friday, September 15th at 11:30 a.m. Former editor and vice president of the Austin American-Statesman, Rich Oppel, will interview the author of the biography, Jane Wolf, and books will be available for sale.
