Alejandra's story highlighted how farms in Johnson County may have been contaminated by fertilizer containing PFAs, killing cattle and destroying property. After the story published, a bill was filed to limit the chemicals in fertilizers and the attorney general's office filed suit in Johnson County against the manufacturers that create the chemicals. The story was excellently written and reported and brought instant impact.
