This series of stories was part of a half hour special dedicated to the veterans of Texas. I was able to accompany more than 200 veterans, spouses of veterans, and Gold Star Family members on the 2022 Permian Basin Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. This flight takes veterans  from WWII, the Korean war, and Vietnam to see the monuments built in their honor. The trip is funded by donations and the veterans are not charged a single cent. There are no words to describe how healing this trip is to the veterans and their families. It was truly an honor that these men and women shared their stories with me. Thank you for your consideration for this award.
