When working remotely became the norm during the COVID-19 pandemic, it presented an opportunity for a television meteorologist from Lake Charles, Louisiana, who was in the fight of his life due to colon cancer.

Ben Terry relocated to Houston to undergo treatment and decided to continue working to serve southwest Louisiana viewers from his Texas hotel room.

Each day, Ben compiled his forecasts, created his graphics, and went on the air to serve his community from hundreds of miles away.

It's a story that speaks to Texas hospitality and Houston's position as a worldwide medical hub.
