The annual luncheon of the Headliners Foundation honored this year’s winners of the prestigious Charles E. Green awards for excellence in journalism and introduced the Foundation’s scholarship recipients. Bob Schieffer provided a video welcome and John Lumpkin, the Director of the Schieffer School at Texas Christian University gave the keynote about the advantages of pursuing a journalism degree.

Before the luncheon, the Headliners Foundation hosted a panel discussion, The Future of Investigative Reporting. The panel featured Debbie Hiott, Austin American-Statesman; Jim Drew, The Dallas Morning News; Terri Langford, Houston Chronicle; and Wayne Dolcefino, KTRK Houston.
